The embodiment of Egyptian – style belly dance, Samra has appeared at the top Arabic clubs and restaurants in Jamaica and Hawaii as well as all over Southern California. For the past six years she has worked as a soloist at Moun of Tunis Restaurant, and has been featured in theatrical productions at the El Rey Theater, The Henry Fonda Music Box Theater, and Magicopolis. A regular performer at cultural events, festivals, corporate and private parties, she has danced for the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Jody Foster, Ray Romano, and famous hairdresser Jose Eber. Samra’s zill work is impeccable, and in addition to Egyptian cabaret and folkloric styles, she has performed Tunisian dance as well. Trained by Princess Farhana, Samra’s specialty is sword balancing and the accompanying floor work. Though soft and feminine, Samra brings the fire and passion of her Brazilian and Ecuadorian background to Middle Eastern dance.
